"We had an overgrown empty plot of land next to our house and wanted to make it a kitchen garden. We were also keen that the garden is low-cost, low-maintenance, built with locally available resources, and that everything would be organic to the extent of having flowering plants to encourage pollinating insects. Prerna had a strong academic and experiential background building urban eco spaces and was quickly able to design it to suit our requirements. The family was self-sufficient for cabbages, chillies, ginger, peanuts, lady's finger, leafy vegetables, turmeric root, tondli, beans, tur dal, arvi, brinjal, even during the lockdown! Since the end of the formal consultancy, the garden continues to thrive, and it is a joy to hear the birds chirping and butterflies fluttering around" Dr. Pragathi Kaushal, Pune
